Liberal lunatics figure that children of any age should have total individual rights in schools to behave and dress any way they want to. The liberals assume that kids don't need guidance and have been born with instant wisdom. It is total crap. Kid's minds that are not influenced by positive values will be influenced by negative ones, like the values that kids learn from rap music. You wrote:<font color=blue>"I live in an upscale community YET youth vandalism is RAMPANT. ... The police will do NOTHING."<font color=black> You have touched on one of my favorite subjects, the awful abuse and mismanagement of our legal system. We need to drastically cut the cost of incarceration, even if we have to go back to chain gangs, no air conditioning, less expensive meals, less expensive medical treatment for prisoners, AND NO MORE FREE LAWYERS FOR REPEAT OFFENDERS!!! Why should the public keep on having to pay $100 on hour lawyers for career criminals? It makes no sense at all. Why did Timothy McVeigh deserve to have a multi-Million dollar defense? It seems like the worse the crime, the more America bends over. There should not be free legal help to repeat offenders. You wrote:<font color=blue>"When I was a youth, any adult could reasonably correct a youth that was acting up "<font color=black> I agree. Parents should be able to use any means neccessary to instill good behavior and "respect" in their kids. But, when it is found that a child is being abused, the system should be there to protect that child. Democrats don't want any standards for this country, and Democrats don't want to see anyone held accountable for their actions, especially if it is fellow Democrat. Many Democrat candidates will have to find themselves an "honest" job, after the 2004 elections. <g>
