re: EGAM....

They have HAD the new method of distribution for some time now.

I just recall that when they thought there was nothing but blue skies in the past, they lost shelf space and in a hurry.

I havent seen ANY of the $19.95 games at local walmarts, but I did see a couple in target and on an end-isle on top of that.

The reason I am skeptical about the higher price points is EVERYONE has $7.95-$9.95 value software. Sams club has ISLES of it (no egames stuff)

Reaching for the higher price point seems a bit risky in that it gets away from what made them succesful in the past..which was impulse sales from nice packaging.

Problem is, it was easily duplicatable and indeed, a former EGAM VP did just that and stole a whole lot of egames shelf-space & market share.

As we learned years ago, the distributors have a financial interest in none of the small players getting too big for their britches.

The downside ? While I dont think it will happen, it could be a zero if they lose market share. There isnt any book value to speak of. Sales & earnings can turn on a dime.

That being said, I do think its worth $1 anyway and very likely more if things continue to do well.

Appreciate your comments.
