Dennis great post and I agree with a few exceptions, IMO it was inevitable that the Middle East would become a relevant player in World politics because of its Oil....

In the shorter term, this slum clearance in Iraq will probably be for the good overall, but we can't really make anybody accept democracy if it isn't in their culture. Sooner or later we'll have to get out of their way and let them do what they want with their nation, and if another Saddam doesn't rise to power that may be the best that can practically be hoped for.

In order for this to happen we must eliminate the radical Islamic Terrorists.....

<<It is not going to matter what we specifically do, these towel heads are doomed long term. Radical Islam is only
at the forefront right now because the epicenter of that religion is sitting on some 2/3 of the worlds oil sources.
Without that, the US and the rest of the world would have done none of the harmful meddling in the region that's taken place during the latter part of the 20'th century, and the region would simply be irrelevant, the way a lot of Africa appears to be.>>>>

They have the oil, we have the food( Canada, US, Russia)
The Midwest called the bread basket of the world. Tons of butter, dried milk, grains sitting in warehouse and silos and piled on the ground
Now Saddam had no problem shutting off his oil completely as he once did.
How would they make out if we shut off their food supply???
Well, gosh I guess that would make us the really bad guys, not only in Iraq, but in the rest of the world.
Such thoughts do cross my mind, and it would be sweet revenge but upon only one guy, Saddam himself.while everyone else suffers.
The awakened Tiger, the USA, has only opened his lips far enough to show a glimmer of his real teeth.
