Dennis great post and I agree with a few exceptions, IMO it was inevitable that the Middle East would become a relevant player in World politics because of its Oil.... In the shorter term, this slum clearance in Iraq will probably be for the good overall, but we can't really make anybody accept democracy if it isn't in their culture. Sooner or later we'll have to get out of their way and let them do what they want with their nation, and if another Saddam doesn't rise to power that may be the best that can practically be hoped for. In order for this to happen we must eliminate the radical Islamic Terrorists.....

Such thoughts do cross my mind, and it would be sweet revenge but upon only one guy, Saddam himself.while everyone else suffers.
