Yes, but the ACLU does not represent the last word on the subject. I think that if we changed the standard to inclusivity, and found some ways to symbolize various forms of unbelief, we could defend against a charge of promoting or supporting a particular viewpoint, and make sure that everyone was acknowledged in various circumstances. That would obviate concerns among the religious of undue promotion of secularism as a point of view, and nullify the concerns of fair- minded secularists because they would have their own symbols acknowledged on occasion too........
