It's funny how the left can dismiss Rush or Coulter as extremist wackos, but can supposedly find grains of truth in the treacherous statements De Genova makes.

I don't know Rush very well but when I've gone to his web site, mostly what he says on the site are his opinions that he passes off as fact. IMO Coulter is a book selling who' and ideologue. To me, most ideologues are distasteful; to whit, OBL is the ideologue to end all ideologues.

In contrast, De Genova bases his views on facts. You may not agree with his views but you can't deny the research behind them.

And with you, there is something else going on.......you're reading more into what he says than I do and I what I think he intended. I think your reaction is not too dissimilar to my reaction to a Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell. They invoke fear for me and I think sometimes I hear things they are not saying.

Just as De Genova's views are alien to your's, so too are Falwell's views alien to mine and I think the gap between those views is what generates the fear and anger.

At least that's my take on it. Again, I assure you I don't get at all what you get out of De Genova's commentary. And now I don't understand the anger expressed by O'Reilly when he talked about De Genova on his show.

To me, essentially, De Genova is saying we shouldn't be in Iraq which is what I am saying.

I challenge you to find any words of Coulter's or Rush's that even comes close to wishing for the deaths of American soldiers.

No...she wishes the death of american presidents with whom she disagrees....i remind you of when she wondered aloud whether it would be better "to impeach or assassinate" then president Clinton.

Think about what makes those deaths more shameful than those in WWII, Korea, or Desert Storm. One word: Victory. (I know what you're thinking, but remember to consider Somalia.)

Those deaths are not shameful. They are unfortunate. What made and makes the deaths in Vietnam and Iraq shameful are the lies upon which these two wars were launched and fought. The politicians serve their purposes, the little guy gets caught in the middle.
