RE:"The legal companies that directly compete against the illegals, and the employees of such companies and unions are the biggest complainers about illegal workers."

OK, why then did the AFL-CIO Union just endorse Bustamante, who obviously would like to open the state coffers even more to illegals?

The illegal individuals, or small companies (sometimes owned by illegals and usually not formally registered with the government) compete against legal companies. The legal companies that directly compete against the illegals, and the employees of such companies and unions are the biggest complainers about illegal workers. The upper middle class, and upper class people getting their gardening done by illegals or using an illegal nanny are not the people doing most of the complaining about the illegals.

Middle and upper middle class Californians complain all the time about the 'illegal problem'. I know because I would listen to their complaints.

BTW I agreed with them. In some states like CA, the number of illegals living there is out of control.

I just didn't like the hypocrisy of complaining about illegals while taking advantage of their cheap labor.
