I agree. I would only stress a point which I left hanging in referring to homogenized communities. Truth works well when people are attempting to gain cooperation, friendship, or reliable working relationships. However, deception is a well developed trait of human beings for the very reason that it has such compelling survival value. At any given time, most of the world is at actual or economic warfare with another part or have other compelling reasons to engage in subterfuge or deception. The fact that we are able to do it so well spaks to th valu which it has playd in th prsrvation of groups. I would lik to say mor but I hv lost th lttr in front of "d" nd somtims th lttr bfor "b", whil othrs wish to ndlssly rpt. So dios for today.

Looks like I have significant differences with both of you...

"Yes, survival may depend on deception, and is, in fact one of the primary justifications for it. "

Nobody survives...prolonging, exacerbating, or attempting to ingratiate your conditions on this planet through deceptive maneuverings is a temptation we are all faced with. Honorable persons don't.
