This is closer to the truth than usual. It is still not altogether accurate. "Neoconservatism" is not a doctrine, it is a sociological/historical designation. Yes, neoconservatives are internationalists, but so are mainstream Republicans. There are different views among neocons about such issues as the criteria for military intervention, multi- lateralism vs. unilateralism, and the difficulty of nation- building. The fact that neocons agree, by and large, on the promotion of democracy, the threat of terrorism, and the need for US leadership merely indicates that there is common ground, not that there is uniformity........
