Thanks --= very interesting. I was particularly interested to find the analysis by two Biblical scholars of various passages. I found the one harsh and unforgiving, but the other evasive and basically saying that yes, the Bible says this, but our society has changed so we no longer should follow the Bible strictly. Which is about what you would expect, frankly. But still, their comments were worth reading. Thanks for pointing me to that. I'll try to keep an eye out to see when the program rebroadcasts in this area. My concern with the latter view of the Bible is that you can apologize away any passages you want to, so basically they're saying that the Bible no longer counts, make it up as you go along. I don't, sadly, see any alternative to this interpreation of that view.
