who knows? maybe even ahead of the US to go to Mars<g>

But seriously, when China gets serious about something, it could be very efficient. Example: it took the US about 12 years (in 1958) to successfully test nuclear war head carried by ballistic missiles, and about the same long time for ex-USSR (in 1962), but it took China only 2 years and 11 days (in 1966) to successfully test it.

From successfully testing A-bomb to Hydrogen bomb, the US used 7 years, ex-USSR, ‚the Britain, close to 5 years, and France, over 8 years. But China only used 2 years and 8 months.

Janes.com estimates China only has about 1,000 nuclear war heads, but the real number is more like 2,500. And I read somewhere some hawkish US General even suggests to nuclear bomb China. what a nuts<g>
