re: Iraqi WMD trucked to Lebanon:

At any given time, you can find containers moving from any randomly-chosen point A, to any point B on the planet. Containers are how everything is moved everywhere. The fact (if it is a fact) that some containers were moved from Iraq to Lebanon in January 2003 proves........exactly nothing. Except to those who yearn for proof, who KNOW it must be so, those who knew it all along.

Like all conspiracy theories, this one is internally consistent (once you accept their assumptions), but unconnected to any facts. It is also unprovable. Even if Syria let 100,000 inspectors wearing U.S. army uniforms into the Bekaa Valley, it could always be said, "they're under the next rock, you haven't turned over every rock", or "Whoops, now they've been moved to......(pregnant pause, drum roll).....Iran....or Bolivia."

My theory is, the Iraqi WMD were in a truck driven by Elvis, last seen (by two witnesses who were not drunk at the time) disappearing over the grassy knoll.

DL,
In the Gulf War folks couldnt believe saddam sent some of his AF to mortal enemy iran to sit out the war and survive. Is not surprise to me then that in this war saddam might have sent wmds to his arch enemy in baathist terms, syria, to store them there for future political and/or military use. No country believe he did not have them prior to the war. If he had destroyed them, he certainly didnt do the rational thing and prove it so as not to be attacked. Maybe Jacob fell asleep writing that speech and the failure of intelligence is not at Langly but in alaska? mike
