OT - People talk Dem, Rep, they talk oil, money, they energetically and willingly discuss various political subjects... one thing which a modern Westerner often seems unable to really understand is that religious passions are still a major force in our world. I saved the NYT article by Paul Berman about Sayyid Qutb. It is a very interesting read. Qutb is a very influential thinker who is nearly unknown in the West. I read parts of his "Milestones" online.
