Public posting of private messages is a clear violation of SI TOU, Guess again. Actually, I was quoted in the WSJ as saying that isn't the case. And they quoted my saying it on the site. It's poor netiquette, but not a violation. And in some cases, I don't even consider it poor netiquette anymore.

Wow. That was some really good work, GZ. I'm really not kidding. You know it is inappropriate to spam on SI, but you wish to get the word out about a venture to the fokes here. Now there is absolutely NO REASON at all to post your schtick to the likes of "laura bush." Why would you possibly post it to her. She has no apparent credentials in your field, no apparent hope of ever acquiring those credentials, and very apparently has no hope of acquiring much of anything else of value. But you posted the opportunity to her, knowing she would post the spam publicly. Now, if other, more qualified individuals are interested, they may PM you. Fokes, this was a masterful job here - simple, elegant and it got the job done clearly within the framework of the "law." It warms my heart to see people using their noggins to get on... I don't know why this pleases me so much, but it does. I guess it's because the thing has a certain natural beauty to it.
