Sorry to disappoint you hueyone!!!

I bought some real estate with some bubble money in 2000, that is what skeeter is talking about, but unlike the rest of the state, or for that matter the statistics from here, these houses have declined significantly in value. Then the stocks I had went way down, I lost most of the money I lost in 2000 before I figured out this wasn't just any other correction.

I know tons of people who were "rich" in the bubble who got wiped out totally, so I have no complaints- the worst off were the people who started restaurants and things in the area that depended on a lot of free cash floating around.
