Right John, Tomasky's article doesn't even come close to defining republicans but exemplifies some rather disturbing tactics used to gain political points with the ignorant masses. Well, those tactics are equal opportunity ones, at least as heavily practiced by reps as by dems, particularly among the pundits. My own view is that the reps started it and do more of it and are much better at it than the dems. But the dems are catching up. As for Tomasky, I'm not certain he's a dem, though it's most likely. He's certainly got a story line for the reps.
