Bush probably didn't mastermind 9/11. As you said, he's too stupid to put together such a grand scheme. But, the black ops in the CIA are very sophisticated and a have great deal of experience engineering political outcomes that are desirable for the wealthy elites. Bush is just a figurehead (a not too bright one at that) for this network of spooks that control our government in the name of big business.

Did the CIA pull off 9/11? Who knows? They've certainly done much worse dastardly deeds in their 50 odd years of existence. They're pros at manipulating politics and pulling off coups and other violent forms of political change and repression throughout the world. It is rather odd how quickly the U.S. government released the names and pictures of the 9/11 hijackers (how many hours was it? I know they were on the evening news on 9/11/01). I mean, if they had no idea that something like this was going to go down, why is it that within hours they had names and pictures of all those responsible? Perhaps it's the information age we live in. But, we're talking about the government, not the most efficient operation, unless it's spooks and the CIA and other sections of the intelligence community who were following the hijackers all along and released the info they had ASAP to keep a suspicious and apprehensive public at bay?!? There are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding 9/11.

re: <i. There's a curious irony when they use the word, "mastermind" in a sentence or thread title.

indeed but then again our conspiracy theoreticians are not to bright to put it politely. Here is another ironic thing, in order to detects tiny out of order things on the impact of one of the planes they felt it would be better to reduce the resolution to a degree that one can not see the plane and it it takes an effort to recognize the buildings. The initial impact itself is shown on only 3 frames.
