Note that for a doctor to have the option merely to tell a woman about the existence of abortion someplace else entirely as an option when she is has AIDS and already has six children at home is called "promoting abortion." According to the Bush plan, if the doctor thinks it's important the woman know an abortion is available somewhere else, and her baby may be born to live in agony and die with AIDS, if the child hasn't died of starvation already, as an AIDS orphan... he can't tell her that. Bite your lip, doctor. Let it happen, because if you don't, these other women who desperately need help won't get it. So: Bush will deprive the clinic whose doctor tells a woman the medical facts, but if the doctor zips his or her lip, they get the aid. So more babies, AIDS-infected and not, will be born to dying mothers, many of whom contracted AIDS from their dying husbands, in impoverished countries. What fun.
