<<Whether intentional or otherwise, this strange inertia from the government and from the major media only tends
to reinforce the appearance that there is something to hide. >>

Of course there is something to hide, and that is the vulnerability of high buildings ( or even cities) to the type of attack from airplanes.
Does it help our country and economy to have people more afraid to go to work, to sit at their desks, to visit large cities?
Those actual videos, repeated enless times were enough.
And rehashing or expanding the stories is no help whatever. Engineers and safety experts will work quietly to do what they can in improving building designs or implementing more safety or rescue measures without alarming the Public..
The Government is properly employed in hunting down the terrorists, before they get in the country or in the air, because once they are in the air.and in control; there is mighty little can be done.
Some people have a big appetite for conspiracies, and they can speculate wildly on this type of event.
As they still do on the Lindberg kidnapping, on the Amelia Earhart disappearance, on the grassy knoll theory, on the lost Atlantis city, on the missing WMD's in Iraq- and where are OBL and Saddam ?
Boy have I got a theory to sell and feed to the insatiable Press
Which reminds that the Princess Diane report is due soon..
Sig.

Contrast this with the absolute silence and inaction from the government and the press regarding expert analysis of the amateur and media stills and video from 9-11.

There was an entire special program on one of the networks, with engineers explaining the conclusions on why the towers fell, with computer animated illustrations. I even think the title of the program was "why the towers fell."

Hardly "absolute silence".
