I think that you will agree with what I believe is an important qualification -- he is an original gold bug but he was not recommending gold as an investment throughout the late 90s or even in 2000. He began recommending gold as an investment and later, derivatively, the gold stocks, when gold began to give technical signals that it had based and was in a new bull market, sometime in 2001.
