I can see the difference in the Hard Drive activity,
it's greatly reduced because Win is now not constantly
checking and changing the swap file size.
All that extra HD activity use to drive me nuts.
----
I also run a small program VRAMDIR , on my 98
system but I don't yet know if it will work on the XP.
----
VRAMDIR in effect stores a lot of small stuff WIN would
other wise write to the HD..
Cutting down on the need for WIN to access
the HD makes for a faster system.
----
Back in the old days I was known as a power user,
But the last few years I haven't kept up with
all the changes.
My general feelings about MSFT have turned
to so much disgust I hate to talk about it.
