Oh yeah. The bubble started bursting in 2000. I read a great analysis in the spring of 2001, right before I was laid off, that made note that Microsoft actually was losing money in the first quarters of 2000, if you subtract revenue from selling interests in other companies. At the same time, I was yawning over all the restructuring emails with all the prepspeak from the executives of WorldCom. In hindsight, I was blind as a bat to what was going on in the industry. We all got a bit cocky, I think. I'm just happy to know I'm in such good company. ;)
