Unfortunately, a lot of the people who want democracy and free markets are extremely suspicious of American methods and motives. Hi Steve! Glad to see you back on line. I know we oversaw a "Plantation economy" when we had the place as a colony, and so their is a lot of bitterness toward us. Too bad. Then our Cold War actions didn't help. But it sure sounds like a country that is going to go along as a corrupt semi-Anarchy for a long time yet. Kind of place where we throw some money and throw up our hands. Are Catholic Countries inherently corrupt?
