Thanks, now I get the point. I'm rather more disappointed that Bush would be so passive after hearing of the first strike. Managing image instead of managing a crisis.

Yes, ShiloCat answered my point regarding the lack of action by the Secret Service. Bush's agenda was well publicized that day. No way they should have let him stay in that school full of school children when the largest building in the country was just struck by a plane and the FAA/NORAD had already confirmed that at least one more plane had been hijacked (apparently while he was on his way to the school). They should have wisked him off to an undisclosed location right then, before he even had a chance to enter Booker T. I'm not sure why they didn't? It seems like it's against their directive to protect the President?!? At the very least, they should have quietly removed him from the school when Andrew Card informed the President that a 2nd plane had hit the WTC. Bush just nodded and continued to read to school children. How odd?!?
