The FED was establish between others to bring stability to the US economy full employment and relative stability to the financial system. Unfortunate the present FED under AG is just abusing the system as it tries to stabilize the economy by increasing the value of financial assets which is not improving the general employment situation. Only in 1987 AG was able to stabilize the financial system but since he is only inflicting more damage. HE gets away with his mismanagement by printing more fiat money
