you can't blame all of Bush's ineptitude on 911, no matter how much you and Fox news try. Its a convenient out, I agree after the "blaming Clinton" cycle was done. But there is a point where a US president has to accept responsibility and I will remind you that Bush had little or no support from anyone outside his immediate neocon cabinet for 1) starting a war with Iraq with no weapons proof, and 2) dividend tax cut.

In the case of the tax cut, Bush had to hunt and peck for a treasury secretary who would finally sign up to supporting such lunacy and that is why we have Snow.

According to the recent non-partisan GAO study of the deficit... less than 50% of it is due to ALL the defense spending increases AND 9-11 combined.
