Dianne Feinstein has made some fairly overt statements about work visas here, and how the CEOs basically scammed her. She didn't say that, but it was the overall tone. I don't care what the CEOs want, congress is pissed because the tax rolls are so bad and at least part of the problem are visa holders coming here and working and being paid in india rupees and paying NO taxes during their stay. If we didn't have the worst job loss in 50 years and tax receipts being what they are, my guess is the tech lobby would get what they want again. But not this time jmo.
