mr mark, I have done some exploring and found no Norton rescue disks can be made for WinXP. Yet, as you observed, the rescue disk made for Win98 worked for WinXP. I'm a believer in rescue disks now. Could NOT use my Norton System Works CD when WinXP failed to boot.

I will look further and share later.

I also observed that Norton no longer has its own defrag program, but simply uses the WinXP defrag.

I just now made a restore point in WinXP.

I made a set of Set-up boot disks yesterday for XP. There was two choices. One before SP! and on for after. I got it from MS. Took 6 disks.
