Your tendency to go for the "conspiracy theory" version of life is showing, SC. Its far too easy to dismiss veiled ambitions, financial schemes, power struggles, unholy alliances, ulterior motives, good ol' boyisms, et al, under the banner of "conspiracies". I love to read, but you and I both know that the real story behind events rarely finds its way into print. I prefer to connect the dots, read in between the lines, and dismiss serial coincidences to try and get at what really happened. I may be wrong sometimes and in most cases I may not be able to prove my narratives beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I suspect that I am closer to knowing the real truth in many instances than most folks.
