It's amazing to me that most people today are happy to pay what used to be the cost of a house for a new car, yet they yap on endlessly about gas prices.

Inflation-adjusted gas prices are actually lower than they were 20 and 30 years ago. Gasoline is not even a blip on the screen in the per-mile cost of owning, insuring, maintaining and operating a car.

Yet the media tells us we're supposed to be apopletic about gas prices. And some people take the bait.
