Ah yes, but who profited most, who got to hold the reins of power longest?

We are all born alone, and die alone, SC. But the quality of the life we live is due to a handful of people who invented our civilization, and who's reward, for the most part, was to be written out of the accounts to make room for the Kings, Queens, Presidents, Congressmen, Preachers, and various other scoundrels who populate our History books.

I live on a beach in Waikiki that only two hundred years ago was inhabited by a tribe of stone age savages who would have killed me on sight. My every need can be attended to by experts at a touch of my cell phone. Royalty and other Celebrities who visited this beach as recently as one hundred years ago could not dream of having the health care and living conditions that the poorest person on the beach gets today.

The "power" that Bush, etc, have is limited and fleeting. And the price they pay to wield it is large.
