I am leery of real estate these days.

With ultra-low interest rates and a general bullishness in the sector recently, I don't see them having a lot of upside. The hotel trusts got hit hard by SARS and the general travel decline post 9-11.

I followed some of the real estate trusts for a while in 2000 before settling on precious metals as a more likely asset class. I know you deal in HK and other real estate investments, and I'm probably not a good person to ask. Try the REIT thread for more informed people.

Hate to give you bad advice, but they really didn't interest me 3 years ago. I really think commodities is the place to be now.
