Well, I don't know when the Bush economic team was informed of that July Private Wage and Salary number but they have to be peeing in their pants about it. Not that it is any news to me, I could have told you wages were going back to 80s levels. But the Bush team keeps talking up the recovery, it is clear they don't have a clue. Meanwhile, back to the budget, can the US tax system make it with 80s level salaries? I know my state, Calfornia, cannot.
