Look the problem is, you are not going to change anybody's mind on these social issues, it comes down to a person's core beliefs, and those really can't be legislated. Aditionally, there are countertrend forces at work put forth by the same folks who are pushing their social agenda. For example, if we allow importing of foreign labor to help big companies, these folks are almost never christian, and they typically want to get their green cards, and at the other end of the republican party here are these idealogues pushing for a Christian state or something. Just drop the whole social issue/abortion/gay bashing position and most folks would be ok with the republican agenda. The fact that you latch on to these divisive matters does not further your cause.
