Ron and Family,

I am very touched by your son's tribute to his Grandfather, your Father. Death is a sad inevitability of life. I lost my maternal and paternal Grandparents a few years ago. As Daniel said, it is very painful; you never forget them; fortunately the pain lessens with time. My Grandparents taught me many things about life, ethics, respecting others, and values. Those things are still with me today, and therefore my Grandparents are still with me today. It is obvious that your Father was a highly respectable man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and country. There is no question that you and your son learned his values. He will live on inside each of you for the rest of your lives. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

Dan

Ron, in your mind's heart, remember your dad for what he taught you, whether it be baiting a line, or standing up for what you believe. Remember the many good times, the family dinners, visits, cruises, his enjoyment of great-grandson's baseball games (bet he was a bugger on the umpire), gleam in his eyes at seeing his family.
I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. It leaves a hole that is never quite filled. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. larry

Hi Ron,

My best wishes to you and your family. The loss of a parent is so difficult. Always cherish the memories of your father.

The tribute was remarkable in every sense. What a great person your father was. He certainly had a tremendous impact upon others.

Take Care,

Slug
