With Iraq still in a crisis and the US military now beginning to feel the pains of overstretch, America cannot afford another big military confrontation, at least not until after the presidential election in November next year. Excellent analysis. The point above has been obvious to me for some time. We don't want to have to take them on until after the 04 elections. What we have no idea of is just how tight things are economically in NK. We haven't sent any oil, but food is still being delivered, I believe. Which is just feeding the army, of course.
