Never mind that the largest Islamic conference this year would be a perfect opportunity to denounce radical Islam and its totalitarian agenda. Instead they'll whine about how oppressed they are and how evil America is, and deny, deny, deny.

They are down with the sickness.

It's curious why there hasn't been more leadership from Washington asking this same question you have posed, in stronger terms on a daily basis.

Could it be that Washington benefits, in the trillions, from increasing hate and polarization from the Muslims? The greater the chaos and conflict, the greater the political and financial profits. Without terrorism the Bush administration is nothing.

That is another sickness and the other may be the symptom. We've had since Eisenhower the chance to extricate from the Middle East, but its been increasingly profitable to do otherwise.
