Chuck I cannot agree with you that speaking about Arafat is not dwelling in the past. Arafat is history. There is no benefit to discussing him. I don't see him playing any role in the future of Palestine. People (Palestenians) just keep him around out of reverence for him. But there are others who have taken over and are in a power struggle over there. Abu Mazen, Sead Erakat and others. And in the power struggle, other groups who profess terrorism such as Hamas etc. are taking full advantage to further their end.

And yes it has become a War of Attrition.
