About the cost of this war:
The most memorable event after 911 was to me the Sound of Silence.
We live in a rural area under an airway, heading from Dallas to LA and other points West
Contrails and a background noise , not disturbing, but always there.
On 9-12 came this eerie silence outside as though entire industries had shut down, or nobody had gone to work that day.
Could only hear a few dogs or coyotes yapping in the distance Nothing moving in the air but buzzards.
Sept 13 th, the same thing
Something is wrong here, was the way it felt.
Do not want to ever hear that silence again.
Would be willing to pay- a tax- a one-time tax or contribution
I do not have surplus income, but name your price $500? $1000? $5000?
A war tax, with guarantee that terrorism here could be stopped, and I would consider paying the $5k
