Chuck, this is DEBKAfile analysis. Off course they will write this. The fact of the matter is that the Hamas and the Islamic Jihad wants to undermine Arafat. Bush and Ariel, yes I am on a first name basis with him AK, are making a fundamental error in assumption and hence barking up a wrong tree, similar to what Bush did in Iraq. On the Iraq issue, which this thread in primarily about, let me say that that Bush proceeded on his Iraq adventure. Neither was he able to prove the WMD but in the interim the Taliban and Al Qaeda got a breather. Now they are back in force, I hope temporarily. But with Bush you never can be sure because of his misstep on the issue of Iraq.
