I tend to think that God created the Universe -- complete with planets (including Earth) -- over a long period of time. Perhaps billions of our years. For with God, time probably has no relevancy. If you have "always been" and will "always be", what use is time?

I think he may have created seasons (changing planet rotations, jet stream functions, etc.) and life on Earth in a set period of time -- perhaps even 6 days -- but the word "day" could also be misleading.

In Habakkuk 3:6 the mountains are declared to be "ancient" and the hills "age-old." In Proverbs 8:22-31 God compares His eternality to the length of time the oceans and mountains have been in place and to the span of time since He created the heavens. The figures of speech used in Psalm 90:2-6, Ecclesiastes 1: 3-11, and Micah 6:2 all depict the immeasurable antiquity of God's presence upon (and plans for) the earth.

The Hebrew word "yowm", translated "day," is perhaps more like in English how we would use words like "era", or "age." There were no such words in Hebrew.

Point being, I think common sense would suggest the Earth itself is probably millions of years old, and the Universe is probably billions of light years old. If we have telescopes that now see out millions of light years, then the objects they are looking at have to be that old, do they not? Man, animals, etc., however, could be only 6000 years old.

I remain,

SOROS

I have not listened to Hagee much but have respect for him. He is aware of the CFR and New World Order (which so many preachers seem to be oblivious to) and talks about the influence of the "Eastern Establishment" which is another term for the CFR-NWO people.

SOROS's post says it for me too.
