Let's see if I understand the problem correctly. You left click the link and it goes directly to the box with the "Save As" on the titlebar? If that's the case something has gotten screwed up with IE. Have you tried a repair of IE?. I sure can't find much about a problem like that.

You aren't by any chance right-clicking the download link? If you do that and choose Save Target As you will get the save as dialog box and bypass the File Download dialog box..

Larry, I doubt if your IE is messed up. What is your problem? I have not been able to exactly follow your problem from your posts. Ed
