By "payroll tax", I assume you mean the employer-paid portion of SS, unemployment benefits, etc. HEY! BITE YOUR TONGUE! Those are liberal sacred cows! You're supposed to soak the rich, aren't you? And isn't that what you're doing with those? No? How can that be? You're taking $$$ from nasty rich corporations, aren't you? If you're going to have those bennies, SOMEBODY has to pay for them. If you take them from the worker and pay him 3rd world wages, he has nothing left to take home. my feeling is the dividend tax cut should have been directed at the payroll tax. Fine. But how do you pay CURRENT SS and unemployment benefits without that money? we would have tremendous leverage with them too, if we weren't running this huge deficit. Maybe. But we are. And they're going to flip us the bird. You better watch it, Lizzie. You keep thinking like this, you're going to become a conservative.
