After WWII the people of both Japan and Germany had a difficult and terrible task. They had to confront what they, as a people, had done. While there is still denial in both societies, IMO, the Germans have done a better job of confronting, and hence learning from their past. But before we "cast stones" at the Japanese for their denial, let's look in the mirror.
