your friend sounds like an utter moron Head & Shoulder is a very reliable pattern Ascending & Descending Triangles are even more reliable I wonder whose ass this friend sucked up to in order to gain his position John Murphy taught me on CNBC H&S is basic stuff you might want to ask for qualifications for your friend to say that H&S is the oldest trick in the book is like saying that the baseball strategy of a series of inside fastballs, setting up for an outside corner slider strikeout is the oldest trick in the book of course, it is basic strategy perhaps your friend is saying "I didnt see it, so I will exert my diminished ego and dismiss it, minimize it" your friend is a fool here is a question to ask this moron "what T/A pattern does he either recognize or respect?" mention pause pennants, triangles, trend channels, Head & Shoulders, Cup & Handles, rounded tops, double bottoms ask him to review the gold chart for the last 3 years, and if he can recognize the large Cup & Handle within the small Cup & Handle if he cannot see that, tell him to go back to school it could be that he has sold out and is part of the machinery of his brokerage firm I dont have any more time for this odd and worthless discussion / jim
