We should quit now, imo.

The consequences:

1.- Jeopardize oil supplies as we would not be able to protect them if necessary;
2.- Invite more terror;
3.- Dilute the perception of the impact of our power, thereby diminishing our worldwide influence.

These are grave considerations, especially the first.

Agree completely. Will try to remember to comment more tonight or tomorrow night if I get time to write properly. Am not certain only about the last sentence, but perhaps so.
