10.26 may be seen someday as the mother of all AMAT buying opportunities. And to think that a certain newsletter writer (not you, Kirk) indicated "they" would only be interested if it got below 10. <g>

Yeah. I, as usual, was early with a first buy at $19.50 last June and my actual absolute bottom target was, from memory, $12.50, but I did get additional shares at $17.50 and $13.00. I sold half the shares I bought at $13 for $19.50 to lock in some nice, 50% gains, but the rest are sitting pretty. -g-

FWIW, this is my AMAT history (newsletter)

Bought 3,160 Shares @ $6.330 09/30/98 (-20,000)
Sold: 1,580 Shares @ $13.750 01/13/99 (+21,914)
Sold: 380 Shares @ $27.500 11/17/99 (+10,435)
Sold: 200 Shares @ $31.250 01/11/00 (+ 6,235)
Sold: 100 Shares @ $48.750 03/10/00 (+ 4,860)
**********_stock_Split_2_for_1_on_3/15/00_*******
Bought 200 Shares @ $40.500 05/11/00 (- 8,115)
Sold: 200 Shares @ $44.500 05/18/00 (+ 8,885)
Bought 200 Shares @ $19.500 12/15/00 (- 3,915)
Sold: 200 Shares @ $21.875 03/12/01 (+ 4,360)
Sold: 100 Shares @ $24.500 03/04/02 (+ 2,435)
**********_stock_Split_2_for_1_on_4/17/02_******
Bought 50 Shares @ $19.750 06/07/02 (- 1,003)
Bought 75 Shares @ $17.500 07/02/02 (- 1,328)
Bought 200 Shares @ $13.000 08/05/02 (- 2,615)
Sold: 100 Shares @ $19.500 07/24/03 (+ 1,935)

Far, far from perfect and often early but not bad overall.
Funny, if I look back, I'd sure like to have those shares back that I sold for a double in 1999!

I think the idea that my system, Cary's and the AIM folks is you try to buy quality when cheap and sell some when high. Cary seems better at getting in and out but I am proud of my results none the less. -g-

Hey!

And to think that a certain newsletter writer (not you, Kirk) indicated "they" would only be interested if it got below 10. <g>

I know who that was! <g>

Shoulda, coulda, woulda. You win some and you lose some. Thankfully we landed a few fish that have done as well if not better.

Regards,

Carl
