FWIW in my opinion, it is very important for germany to participate in the military arena as well. Hitler is long dead, and the fear of renewed german militarism will never go away until the myth is shattered by good military performance in the peacekeeping arena. Non-participation shows a lack of committment to do heavy lifting and not an affinity to pure pacifism. Interested in your thoughts on this JJ. mike
