Kulicke & Soffa Announces Equipment Orders From ASE Group

  WILLOW GROVE, PA--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 3, 2003 -- Kulicke & Soffa Industries, Inc. (NasdaqNM:KLIC - News) today announced that the company has received orders for more than 300 Maxum ball bonders from Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. (ASE), (TAIEX: 2311, NYSE: ASX). ASE will take immediate delivery of 60 machines, and the remainder will be scheduled for delivery as soon as K&S can schedule shipments.
