IMO Powell is hoping and praying that his 'boss' gets kicked out in 2004, so that he can go back to private life and try to rebuild his shattered reputation. Trying to counterbalance the neocons has destroyed his good name.

If Bush wins in 2004, look for him to 'retire'.

Powell is used to saying "yes sir". The GOP has used him. He hoped to make a big difference but has been stabbed in the back repeatedly by the old boys white neocon club wyho are using him.
