Cypress says 3rd-qtr revenue to beat forecasts Wednesday September 3, 4:43 pm ET SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 3 (Reuters) - Microchip maker Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:CY - News) on Wednesday said its third-quarter revenue would beat analyst expectations thanks to strong consumer sales and upticks in its networking and wireless businesses. Revenue for the third quarter, which ends Sept. 28, is now expected to be about $214 million, beating analyst estimates of $209 million, said the San Jose, California-based company. The company said it expects to post a 12-cent per share loss for the quarter, including amortization of intangibles and acquisition-related charges. Excluding those items, the company said it expects to post earnings of 6 cents per share.
